The implementation of aviation projects within the framework of the pan-European SESAR program was the subject of the second conference held by Polish Air Navigation Services Agency dedicated to investments being a part of the European airspace - SESAR - FUTURE for Aviation.
Guests of the conference were SDM (Sesar Deployment Manager) representatives - Nicolas Warinsko, Mariagrazia La Piscopia, Francis Richards, Oro Navigacija – Vaidotas Kondroska, from LOT, the Polish carrier – Krzysztof Siemiński, from Ministry of Regional Development – Jarosław Orliński, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, The Center for EU Transport Projects, Office of Civil Aviation and Air Force of the Republic of Poland.
When starting the conference, the PANSA President Magdalena Jaworska has emphasized that the Agency actively partakes in the implementation of SESAR projects, and in association with the experience held, she encourages and activates other entities to prepare their projects.
The idea behind the conference was to present the conditions and possibilities of implementation by various entities engaged in operational activities (ANSP, airports, airlines, the military) of projects, which implement the so-called ATM functionalities, in accordance with the EU Regulation 716/2014. An important aspect of implementation of such projects is the possibility to absorb EU funds. During the discussion, this topic was presented in detail both by SDM, as well as the Polish authorities responsible for EU funds management.
