HOCHTIEF Polska to build Air Traffic Control Center in Poznan
Warsaw and Poznan Branches of HOCHTIEF Polska will build in common the Air Traffic Control Center in Poznan. Investor of the project is the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency. The net contract value amounts to PLN 87,644,820.97 (approximately EUR 20.8 million). Design works, for which responsible is DEDECO company, will begin in May and finish in Q3, 2018. Construction works will last for 13 months.
The commission includes: design and build of the new Air Traffic Control Center with a technical infrastructure, demolition of existing objects, adaptation and modernization of a 24-meter-high tower, construction of an access road and a car park with at least 120 parking lots. The total area of the new objects will amount nearly 10,000 square metres. In accordance to the Investor’s guidelines all the installations will be designed in a BIM-type environment – Building Information Modelling System (BIM).
The Air Traffic Control Center in Poznan will be built in the neighbourhood of the Poznan-Lawica Airport, where HOCHTIEF Polska Branch in Poznan extensioned and modernized the passenger terminal between 2010 and 2014.
