Implementation of the 8.33 kHz channel spacing below FL195
In accordance with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1079/2012 of 16 November 2012 laying down voice channels spacing requirements for the Single European Sky, Polish Air Navigation Services Agency is required to implement the 8,33 kHz conversion below FL195. It is an obligation to replace the 25 kHz channel spacing frequency assignment in the central register by the frequency assignment using 8,33 kHz channel spacing. According to the EU Regulation, PANSA shall ensure conversion by 31 December 2018 at the latest.
The implementation and conversion refer to frequencies using 25 kHz channel spacing used by TWR, APP Air Traffic Control and ATIS.
Changes do not apply to the emergency frequency 121.500 MHz and frequencies used by Flight Information Service.
