August, 28th is an unique date for the Polish aviation. That day we celebrate the Polish Aviation Day – a common holiday of the civil and military aviation, airmen, air traffic services, ground personnel and everyone related to the aviation industry. The Polish Aviation Day strengtens bonds of our great aviation family.
That date was settled to commemorate the great victory of the Polish crew of Franciszek Żwirko and Stanisław Wigura in a Polish plane RWD-6 in the „Challenge” contest in Berlin, 1932.
In this special day the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency wishes all the best to whole aviation community. Please accept our warmest wishes of fulfilled dreams, high flights and safety in the air. We are greatful for cultivating the beautiful and rich tradition of the Polish aviation!
Though this holiday is celebrated in Poland today, we wish to spread only best wishes to the great aviation society around the world, as we are a part of it and we jointly create it. Both in the air and on the ground we work together for the better future of air operations. May the Polish Aviation Day be the good occasion for all of you and us to celebrate!
