From 6th to 10th June, 2011 Polish Air Navigation Services Agency will provide access to its resources necessary to conduct the first ever "Vigilant Skies 2011" counter-terrorism exercise held between NATO and the Russian Federation within the framework of the Cooperative Airspace Initiative.
The initiative is designed to prevent terrorist attacks which use civilian aircraft by sharing radar data and efficient coordination between NATO and Russia units.
The Polish local coordination unit and the currently tested NATO Coordination Centre, both being part of the CAI system are located at PANSA's headquarters in Warsaw. PANSA is responsible for the provision of logistic and technical services. PANSA's experts will be involved in the overall organization and will participate in the drill.
