PANSA services:

PANSA is actively involved in research and development (R&D) activities for the new generation of aviation – Aviation 4.0. The digitalisation, virtualisation and automation of operations that lead to the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution are introducing such new technologies as the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing (CC), Augmented Reality (AR), Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) also to aviation and air navigation.

As an institution whose competences and resources are unique in Poland, PANSA consolidates them in the area of aviation by initiating and co-creating R&D Centre – NaviHub – a project which is comprised of a network of organisations, sites and equipment (Centre of Competence) as well as data, knowledge and laboratory for digital simulations (NaviLab) and test airfield (NaviSpot). NaviHub represents cooperation of people and institutions that provides for designing, deploying and testing innovative aviation projects in field conditions.

At Centre of Competence in our Contingency Air Traffic Control Centre in Poznań, we are able to offer our Clients R&D services in the areas of:

  1. Development, testing and integration of ATM and UTM systems.
  2. Cybersecurity of communication and aeronautical data exchange systems.
  3. Interactive technical documentation (instructions, descriptions, illustrations).
  4. System and process analytics.
  5. Complex project management.
  6. Collection, integration, processing, analysis and distribution of aeronautical data.

At NaviLab in our Contingency Air Traffic Control Centre in Poznań, we offer simulations using systems used in air traffic management for the purpose of airspace optimization. This allows to test logic and design infrastructure for flight needs based on actual air traffic, and to virtually introduce more aircraft in a given space sector, in order to examine the impact on safety, capacity and the external environment.

At NaviSpot in our test airfield in Kąkolewo, we provide a place for research, testing, validation, verification and certification of technological solutions before their commercial implementation to trial and operational activities.

At NaviSpot, we offer:

  1. Development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their equipment.
  2. Tests, validation and technical verification of infrastructure solutions.
  3. Integration and compatibility of aeronautical data exchange with air traffic control systems.
  4. Test flights to check the repeatability and correctness of the mission performance.

NaviHub is the vehicle in our journey to digital aviation. This revolution that happens in front of our eyes will allow us to create the Single European Sky that is more effective, scalable and resilient – Mateusz Zelek, Head of NaviHub R&D Centre, 2 years of experience at PANSA.
