At Airspace World 2025, Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak, PANSA CEO and the PANSA team, including i. a. Rafał Marczewski, COO, Marcin Wilkowski, Director for Operations, Mateusz Zelek, Director of Strategy and International Cooperation, Jarosław Piełunowicz, Deputy CTO for Development and Dariusz Jasiński, Deputy CTO, joined leaders, experts and industry from across Europe to discuss the future of ATM. Our voice was heard!
The panel ‘Strengthening the resilience of European aviation: Safety, sustainability and future challenges’ with the participation of Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak, PANSA CEO and Elisabeth Landrichter, Managing Director of Austro Control, Giancarlo Buono , MSc FRAeS, Group Director Safety and Airspace Regulation UK CAA, Ana Mata, Chairwoman of the Board ANAC Portugal Civil Aviation Authority and Julian Rotter, DGCA took place in the context of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU and addressed the strategic challenges in the ATM sector: geopolitical tensions, civil-military coordination and preparing the next generation of aviation professionals.
We are highly involved in encouraging young people to pursue a career path in aviation.
Working as an air traffic controller is challenging but also exhilarating. It is, however, essentially a job for life. The young generation does not particularly like such rigid commitments, but we are managing to attract more and more candidates to the profession. We are proud of PANSA and we want the young people to feel this pride when they come to work for us – said Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak.
The first day of Airspace World was focused and successful for PANSA. Numerous discussions brought the opportunity to address a wide range of important topics affecting the future planning of airspace management in the coming years.
PANSA experts, besides numerous technical and operational meetings attended i.a. the meetings with Mariagrazia La Piscopia, Executive Director of SESAR Deployment Manager, the iTEC cooperation, Federal Aviation Administration and the Streering Board A6 Alliance.
