Talks on the current state of works and the future of the Baltic FAB
The directions of further development of Baltic FAB, as well as a summation of the level of realization of project tasks, are the main topics of the recently finished second meeting of the Council of the Baltic Functional Airspace Block - Baltic FAB, which was presided by the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Development, Sławomir Żałobka. Lithuania's Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication, Arijandas Šliupas, also took part in the meeting.
Paweł Babiński appointed Deputy President of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency
Minister of Infrastructure and Development Maria Wasiak, at the request of the President of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency Magdalena Jaworska, delegated the duties of the Deputy President of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency to Mr. Paweł Babiński as of 24 March 2015.
Paweł Babinski has been associated with the air navigation service since 1990 ("Polish Airports" Air Traffic Agency, now Polish Air Navigation Services Agency).
Polish-Austrian co-operation in the area of safety of the air traffic control system
The cooperation in the area of safety of the air traffic management - Safety Management System was the main topic of the Polish and Austrian air navigation services management meeting, which took place on Friday 20th March.
Magdalena Jaworska - President of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency hosted Sommerbauer Heinz, President of Austro Control - Austrian provider. The visit was an exchange of Polish and Austrian ANSPs issues experiences, among others: the requirements of the SES II plus, SESAR, Eurocontrol and EASA role in regulating the activities of ANSPs in Europe and FAB activities. The President of the Austrian provider was acquainted with the ongoing activities and plans of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency for the coming years.
SOFIAXL Consortium announced at World ATM Congress 2015 in Madrid
The SOFIAXL Consortium will comprise of Indra (Spain) and its subsidiary Avitech (Germany), leading manufacturers of air navigation equipment, and air navigation service providers (ANSPs) of Lithuania (Oro vavigacija), Poland (PANSA) and Ukraine (UkSATSE).
The goal of the Consortium is to provide CS4-AFUAS System and Service for European ATM in response to the tender on the provision of the centralized service on Flexible Use of Airspace for the EUROCONTROL Member States.
