We have obtained the data for the first half of the current year, and according to it there has been an increase of over 7000 in the number of general flight operations handled by FIS compared to the first six months of 2015. This means an increase of over 8%.
General air traffic is growing at a record breaking rate. It was last year already that the number of flight operations handled by the PANSA flight information service broke a record, and throughout the entire 2015, the FIS Informers handled 197 319 flight operations. Taking 2015 into account against 2014, it was a 13% increase in G-class traffic handled.
Big thanks to the 73 FIS Informers and Assistants from Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk, Olsztyn and Warsaw, who provide aid and share their experience with general aviation pilots on a daily basis.
