Meeting of Air Transport and Maritime Economy Sub-Committee
On January 23, 2008 in the headquarters of Polish Air Navigation Services Agency the meeting of Air Transport and Maritime Economy Sub-Committee took place. The representatives of The Ministry of Infrastructure, Civil Aviation Office, The Supreme Chamber of Control, “LOT” Polish Airlines, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration and “Polish Airports” State Enterprise took part in the meeting.
The President of PANSA, Mr. Maciej Rodak at the beginning told about the history, structure and legal status of the Agency. Next, the members of the sub-committee heard about the main tasks of PANSA. The biggest pressure was put on the work, training and the statistics of the employment of air traffic controllers, and the infrastructure of ATC equipment.
The second part of the meeting was expended on examining present statistics concerning air traffic in Poland, the prognoses for 2008 and the aims and challenges PANSA meets nowadays.
During the meeting It was stated, that the Ministry of Infrastructure will initiate the alteration of Public Finance Act and Public Orders Act in the scope of the regulations facilitating working of PANSA as the national ATM provider.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and PANSA in cooperation with The Air Transport and Maritime Economy Sub-Committee are to prepare the draft of desideratum to the Polish Government about the Polish position in the EC works on the division of European airspace.
