The European Commission after the meetings with all members of the functional blocks of Air Space entrusted to assess progress of their preparations.
Assessment of the Lithuanian-Polish Baltic FAB is very good. Lithuanian and Polish initiative was among the three most advanced FAB-s blocks.
Official presentation of the European Commission document will be on the Single Sky Committee meeting of 29 November 2011
Based on the results of bilateral meetings and other available information (bearing in mind the different case of Danish/Swedish and UK/Ireland, for which Article 6 of Regulation 176/2011 applies), an indicative timeline has been prepared and is attached to this document.
It shows that:
• 3 FABs are likely to have submitted all their material before the June 2012 deadline: Baltic FAB, NEFAB, and UK/Ireland
• 5 FABs are likely to have partial submission of their material before the June 2012 deadline, albeit to varying degrees: Danish/Swedish FAB, BlueMed, Danube FAB, FABCE, FABEC
• 1 FAB is likely to have no submission of material before the June 2012 deadline: South/West FAB.
